We have previously reported on the excellent out of hours (OOH) service that we had at weekends. It used to be that on Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays if you needed a GP appointment you could ring Kingston GP Chambers, and they would give you an appointment at the nearest surgery available.
Although we were not informed, we now know that from last April this facility was reduced. It is now only possible to get an appointment from Kingston GP Chambers on a Saturday. We were very sorry to hear of this reduction.
The following is the current arrangement:
- On weekdays, it may be possible to get an appointment at your surgery from 6-8pm. However, you will not see one of your own GPs. To obtain one of these appointments, you should ring your own surgery before 5pm on the same day.
- On Saturdays: call Kingston GP Chambers on 020 3841 9942 to get an appointment.
- On Sundays & bank holidays: call 111
