We were pleased to welcome Richard Dean, Kingston Council’s South of the Borough Neighbourhood Manager, to CDRA’s Executive Committee Meeting in October. Richard wanted CDRA’s help in promoting his team’s initiative to get residents involved in submitting ideas for projects that residents would like carried out in Chessington, Hook and Malden Rushett.
Do you have an idea on how our local streets and open spaces could be improved? Or a local project that would enhance the quality of life for residents and attract businesses to the area?
The South of the Borough Neighbourhood plan is being developed based on the ideas and feedback given by our communities. The plan helps inform decisions about awarding grant money through the South of the Borough Neighbourhood Committee.
Each Neighbourhood has an amount of money to spend on improving their area. Rather than the Council progressing their own ideas, they would like to know what residents would like done.
You can view existing ideas and make comments on them, plus add new ideas. Deadline for submissions is 31st December 2024. Alternatively, you can email Richard Dean at richard.dean@kingston.gov.uk or call him on 07717 867792.
