Over the past year, CDRA and many local residents have got to know the UK Power Networks team well, including Community Stakeholder Engagement Lead Emily Fisher. Emily has been a familiar and trusted presence throughout the cable replacement project, working closely with our community to keep residents informed and ensure the work progressed with as little disruption as possible.
This summer marks a major change for Emily, as she takes off her UK Power Networks hat and puts on the beret of the King’s Royal Hussars, becoming Lieutenant Emily Fisher. She will join the regiment as part of the regular rotation of forces. August 2026 saw the King’s Royal Hussars formally take over from The Royal Welsh to lead NATO’s enhanced Forward Presence Battlegroup in Estonia – the 11th rotation of UK troops since the battlegroup was established in 2017.
Emily’s role at UK Power Networks will now be taken forward by Evangeline Uttley, who many residents will meet in the months ahead.
We wish Emily every success in her new role. Her cooperation, consultation and communication with residents across the south of the borough have been exceptional. She has been an outstanding ambassador for UK Power Networks, working alongside Regan Miles, Project Manager, and James Neal from contractor JSM.
Together, they are delivering the UK Power Networks cable replacement project with professionalism, care and efficiency. Many residents have commented on the quality and speed of the duct installation work – a testament to the teams involved.
