“My memory of Chessington is the Chessington Zoo from the early 1970s. I was 7 or 8 years old. We moved to West Molesey. My mum and dad and myself would get the 131 bus from West Molesey to Kingston, then the 65 or 71 to Chessington Zoo. I can remember the car park where the 65 or 71 bus would pull in. I didn’t get to go to the Zoo much; my dad passed away early January 1977. What would we do without memories.”
